Bible Quizzing
This activity involves four tournaments taking place across the Northwest. These tournaments narrow competition to three teams and individual high scorers. Teams are quizzed on their knowledge of one or more books of the Bible throughout the four tournaments. Adaptable for large or small churches. Bible Quizzing encourages study and memorization, as well as fellowship and friendly competition. The tournaments are held November through March. During the 2007-08 school year, the Bible quiz tournaments will be held October 20 at Meridian Friends, December 1 at Twin Rocks Friends Camp, January at Newberg Friends, and March 1 at Hayden Lake Friends.

Samuel School I
Samuel School I is a spiritual retreat for seventh and eighth graders held on the second weekend in October. The location of the retreat alternates between Quaker Hill and Twin Rocks from year to year. In 2007, it will be at Quaker Hill. Students are selected by their local church elders for their openness to the Spirit and their potential leadership skills. This is not a laid back junior high retreat; instead it offers a strong challenge and spiritual development.

Samuel School II
This retreat is designed to further develop spiritual sensitivity and leadership abilities of high school students. Workshops, stretching activities such as a high ropes course and extended solo time, and journal activities combine to challenge youth to help nurture a Christ-centered lifestyle. Samuel School II occurs during Memorial Day weekend, alternating between the Newberg area and Boise. In 2008 it will be in Newberg. Students are selected by their local church elders for their openness to the Spirit, their eagerness to learn more about their relationship with God, and their leadership abilities.

This is a two day volleyball tournament held at George Fox University and planned by the NWYM Friends Youth Exec. There is a gathering for worship right after lunch on Saturday to enhance fellowship among the teams. The primary emphasis of this tournament is fun and fellowship. Takes place in late April, and churches all across the Northwest are represented. There are two divisions, the Quaker League, for the especially dedicated and competitive teams, and the Friends League for those teams who just come to have fun.
